adrienne's tour diary for April 15, 2006
The last time we played in Davis at the Pirate House the house party was shut down before we went on and moved around the corner. The Delta is a house too, and a coffee shop, and a bar, and an excellent play to play. Scissors for Lefty went on first and rocked the house. The bathroom was the gear room, and we swapped our stuff out and their stuff in and played our set. Tall stages are fun but play...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.

adrienne's tour diary for April 10, 2006
The fireplace was dark when I woke up, but there was some light coming in through the patio. I was delighted to find that Smart Start cereal was a breakfast option--thanks to Michelle & Dave. I'm addicted to cereal and we rarely encounter it on the road. G was already awake, Dan was gone, and W emerged from his sleeping bag cocoon to get coffee with Dave and G. At 2 pm G and I went to Little Rad...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.

chrisg's tour diary for April 9, 2006
we decide to head down to LA a day early, partly to have a chance to relax and visit with people over the weekend, and partly to escape the crap-ass weather we've had in san francisco. of course, it's sunny and beautiful when we leave our studio in west oakland. in fact, it is the light from the blazing sun that causes some metal on our van's tires to shine in dan's face. cw had taken the va...read the rest of this entry and more in chrisg's diary.

An hour after leaving San Francisco Dan became a member of Costco. The tire installment center gave us a timeframe of FOUR hours before the van's new tires would be ready to roll. We ate some burgers = 30 minutes. We walked the entire nearby strip mall--past Pet Club, Goldilocks Bakery, an optomotrist, dentist, and a nail salon (a pedicure would have been an excellent way to spend our time, but I...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.

adrienne's tour diary for January 26, 2006
I appreciate the refrigerator with chilled beer inside up the stairs. From the outside, who'd know that nice little room was there, and had such treats to offer as chips and guac? The chilled beverages helped me mellow out after worrying that good friends of ours were trapped outside because the show had sold out. They showed up inside shortly after, due to their cunning ways. My mom took the trai...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.

adrienne's tour diary for October 26, 2005
Today my youngest brother turned 18. I talked to my oldest brother before the show for the first time in 17 years and I will see him in China next week. If we were on tour, the proximity of Balazo taqueria to Mezzanine would have seemed like heaven. I overlooked my self-imposed rule of no burritos before shows and ate half of one. It fell apart before I could finish it. CW's burrito never had an e...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.

adrienne's tour diary for October 25, 2005
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy DVD was playing on a wide-flatscreen TV around eye level from where we stood on the stage. Is that movie a comedy? Parking near the Virgin Megastore is not simple. It's impossible on Stockton and Market, but I got lucky on O'Farrell. It's a challenge to play under flourescent lights in a giant retail space, but the weirdness of it was enjoyable and unusual, an...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.

adrienne's tour diary for August 20, 2005
Dear Diary, I wish I had two brains so I could remember everything. This show was fun beyond what I expected. The Great American cooks made us bread pudding, which I love. Jason showed the Drive video at the start of the set, with Adam controlling the remote and Chris G. and I watched it from behind the screen. We played 'Stranger' for the first time. The Ex-Boyfriends and Loquat are so ...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.
