chrisg's tour diary for May 3, 2005
We’ve just finished our first show. The White Hart and its location, Saxmundam, does indeed exist, contrary to the belief of almost all of the British we’ve asked so far. We arrived after a couple of hours driving through green hills, occasionally interrupted by neon yellow patches of mustard (or some similar-looking weed for all I know). The town seems rather dead up...read the rest of this entry and more in chrisg's diary.![]() | there are photos for this date >> |

adrienne's tour diary for May 2, 2005
We drove into Ealing on Monday afternoon to Sarah's. The sun was out and it was definitely warmer than San Francisco was when we left it. I regretted having taken up so much room in my suitcase with a heavy hooded coat, one that it appeared I did not need at all, and I could have used the space for more socks or a larger variety of shirts. I consoled myself with the thought that I had packed a swi...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.![]() | there are photos for this date >> |

adrienne's tour diary for May 1, 2005
We've been in the UK nearly 48 hours. When we arrived at Heathrow on Sunday, after passing through customs with all our stuff on wheels and in carts, we rolled through a series of tunnels moving towards Terminal 3, where Gijs was to meet us with the white Ford Transit van at the "drop off area." There were options for Terminal 3, though: the car park, arrivals and departures; a ramp going up, stai...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.![]() | there are photos for this date >> |
chrisg's tour diary for May 1, 2005
Arrived at Heathrow this morning. I don't think I'll ever get used to overnight flights. I can't seem to sleep on planes, and the movies they play aren't great, but they're all of the ones that you kind of wanted to see but knew you'd never pay for. So three movies, some tepid pasta, and a sour cream and chive pretzel bit later (no crossword in the British Airways in-flight magazine), we land...read the rest of this entry and more in chrisg's diary.![]() | there are photos for this date >> |

adrienne's tour diary for April 12, 2005
I like it when I don't stand on the stage but on the regular floor. I wish we'd played with Doris Henson when we went through Kansas/Missouri last year. At Thee Parkside in the ladies' room one wonders if there are people outside the window looking in. Are there?...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.![]() | there are photos for this date >> |

adrienne's tour diary for March 11, 2005
The packed BART train I took in the late afternoon on my way home didn't have its air conditioning on. A tall man in a long-sleeved black shirt and slacks, wearing his long grey hair in a thin ponytail, moved through what little space there was between the sweaty, uncomfortable people and pushed the button for the driver intercom at the front of the car. He complained of the heat, said he'd felt t...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.12 February 2005
adrienne's tour diary for February 12, 2005
Before the show 75% of us ate a spinach tart, and one had a cheeseburger. After the show Chris & Eric came over for 7-Eleven nachos following our search for Jason Koxvold, but once we connected on the telephone he was already driving back over the bridge, probably with a video camera on the hood of his car, as I heard a rumor that he'd done that on the drive over. I saw somebody from my work at ...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.22 January 2005

We got parking right in front of the Great American, which never happens when I go to see a show there, but it was early after all. Loaded in the gear through the front door and got our meal tickets (I had the corn chowder with bread and everyone else had the gumbo with its intimidating sausages). The meal also included dessert: fruit and/or a choice of 3 types of cookies. I chose an almond cookie...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.![]() | there are photos for this date >> |
