February 12, 2005 - Lobot Gallery - Oakland, CA

Before the show 75% of us ate a spinach tart, and one had a cheeseburger. After the show Chris & Eric came over for 7-Eleven nachos following our search for Jason Koxvold, but once we connected on the telephone he was already driving back over the bridge, probably with a video camera on the hood of his car, as I heard a rumor that he'd done that on the drive over. I saw somebody from my work at the LoBot but from a distance. The people in cages were eating mostly. It didn't look like they used the bathroom in there, but used the same bathroom that everyone else did, lavatories on a platform that you wouldn't expect to have water and plumbing, but they do. There was a young man smoking a pipe in line for the restroom at one point. I could smell the pipe from far away. It turns out the evening was a benefit for the caged people. That was what one of the caged people told us when we asked if the bands were getting part of the door money. He could have been lying, but it was so late and we were so hungry for nachos that we didn't care.
