October 24, 2006 - Scruffy Murphys - Birmingham, UK
Scruffy Murphys appears to be made entirely of wood, but it's actually the cornerstone of a modern building in downtown(?) Birmingham. The new Ford Transit Torneo is awesome, with more space, windows, and radio speakers than the splitter we parted ways with on Scrubbs Lane Sunday evening.
Rich from Elmira Landmine told us how he went to San Diego last year and was mugged by two guys who kept asking: "Are you disrespecting me?" Rich was surprised that people outside of TV and films actually said this. It's true.
I'm writing this from a Starbucks off the M6. The 'loos' here were voted #1 last year. It's not an undeserved rating. They're pretty nice, as these things go.
Starbucks plays James Taylor 93.7% of the time.
It's pouring rain outside and the Torneo is 200 feet away. We might stay at the Welcome Break Starbucks forever.
