March 10, 2004 - Plush - Tucson, AZ

3/10 I woke up at 6 am and my left eye was glued shut. It opened back up with some persuasion. Pink. Showed Dan's mom, who's an elementary school principal, and she verified that it was indeed pink eye, which I was surprised to never have contracted as a junior high eyeliner addict and am disappointed to have now. Dan dropped me off at a walk-in clinic and went back to his mom's to pack up the van. I waited. I waited some more. They said they couldn't help me, I'd have to go to the doctor listed on my insurance card. But that doctor's in Oakland. They didn't know Oakland was more than 30 miles from Rancho Cucamonga. A man was practicing teeing in the lobby. His name was Jim. He was called before me. I finally got in, got my prescription, and still have a puffy eye, but expect some results soon.
11:53 a.m. and there are tall mountains all around, some with snow. To our right are a series of metal windmills. Is this where they filmed the scene where Robert Downey, Jr.'s character died in Less Than Zero? That movie was a bummer. I hope Kingdom Hospital does well, for Andrew McCarthy. I saw Class on TV last weekend, and that movie's still good.
